Our First Starving Street Cat

When Maya first came to us, she was a starved street cat and VERY food motivated. We learned just HOW food motivated while cooking pasta and making sandwiches. Brad had just taken the pot off of our glass top stove to drain, and Maya made a dash across the hot stove to get to the slices of ham on the other side of the counter. She burned her paw pads - it smelled AWFUL. But overall, she had no lasting damage, and it was easy to heal up.
